Melissa & Eliot's Engagement at Central Library and Union Station

For their St. Louis engagement photos, Melissa and Eliot envisioned something classic and elegant., a little bit city-chic Kate Spade and a lot of black/white/gold. Our two locations were a perfect fit. Union Station and the recently renovated Central Library downtown gave us exactly the elegant, gilded background Melissa had in mind. After seeing what an awesome job Melissa and Eliot did incorporating their style into their engagement session, I absolutely can't wait for their wedding!

Kristen & Mickey's Christ Church Cathedral Wedding

When we first spoke with Kristen almost a year ago, I was thrilled to hear the details of her spring wedding. While Kristen hails from St. Louis, she and her (now) husband both met and currently live in the city that never sleeps, New York. After all the months of planning their wedding from afar, Kristen and Mickey were married at Christ Church Cathedral on a rainy April day. Their ceremony was perfect - so personalized, as the pastor was one of Kristen's long-time friends, and so beautiful. For their Windows on Washington reception, the couple incorporated elements of the city they call home. From black and white cookies (Seinfeld, anyone?) to a New York City coffee table book as their guestbook to awesome typography using New York neighborhoods, their details were the perfect fit for this awesome couple. All in all, it was a wonderful day - so joyful and full of love! I'll be looking forward to seeing these two and the rest of Kristen's family in a few short months. Kristen's twin sister, Erin, will be married in Saint Louis this September. (What a busy year for this family!) Can't wait to see you all again!

Melissa & Eliot Engagement Sneak Peek

Look at these two! Melissa and Eliot are one sharp dressed pair; Melissa's Kate Spade dress is timeless, and Eliot was no slouch in his charcoal grey suit. This shoot was a close call - Melissa and I were watching the weather closely for the entire week before the shoot, and the forecast couldn't seem to make up its mind! Then, as we were all driving to meet up, the sky let loose a torrential downpour. Thank goodness, it didn't last long, and we were able to get this image in front of the gold gilt gates at the Central Library. Here's hoping a rainy engagement shoot means a clear wedding day!
