A Quick Preview - Nicci & Jesse's Charlottesville, Virginia Wedding

We can't help but post a quick preview of the recent wedding out in Charlottesville, VA. I love love stories, and this couple had a good one. They have adventured across the world together (their story spans the entire US, from Virginia to Montana to California, and most recently, they spent 6 months living in Thailand) and I love that their adventures together are only just beginning. This wedding was full of the loveliest details, from Nicci's dress (her mother's!) to the flowers in her hair, but my favorite part was the way Nicci and Jesse looked at each other as they said their vows. We'll share more photos soon, but enjoy this quick peek in the meantime.

Rachel & Noah - Charlottesville, Virginia

I recently shot another wedding out in Charlottesville, Virginia with Rachel of A Muse Photography. (Check out a photo here and another Charlottesville wedding here) Rachel, as you may recall, is a dear friend and fellow Italian photography student. Per usual, the trip seemed far too short, but we fit as much as humanly possible into the short trip. Serendipitously, Sunday's wedding venue was a short drive from Rachel's parents' home, and so I was lucky enough to share several lingering meals and genuine discussions with the entire Couch family, all of whom I completely adore (including Rachel's sweet nephew, Conner, who I finally met for the first time!). I could blather on about that part for so long, but I'll skip to the part where I met Rachel's beau, Noah. Noah and Rachel recently returned from spending a few weeks in sunny Belize, and after the high pressure 'meeting-of-the-best-friend,' I'm happy to say he was completely charming, articulate, and suntanned. In between coffee and sushi, Rachel and Noah humored me long enough to get a few great photos. Here are some of my favorites.

Onion

I was about to make some lunch (a turkey, avocado, egg and cheddar sandwich with onion and mayo, if you must know) when I was distracted by this onion. Evidently, we haven't used our onions in timely manner - this onion was laying in the back of a wire basket with two other onion conspirators, making the best of their last days and trying their hardest to grow an onion army. I don't even know what this officially is - did the onion sprout? Is this where green onions come from? If I cut off the green part and plant it, will I grow more onions? You might be able to tell that my gardening knowledge is rudimentary at best. In fact, considering that most plants wither in the presence of my black thumbs, I feel almost proud...I almost grew something.  I just had to take a few photos before I finished making my sandwich. Which I did. It was tasty.

(If you came here hoping for wedding photos, you're still in the right place. Check out our wedding gallery here!)
